Cohort Button/Links
Updated over a year ago

Each event that is shown on the Cohort hime page is typically linked to something else. There are different ways you can handle this:

  • One link that is used all the time

  • No links - it is just an "informational" card

  • "Timed" links so that the link changes depending on if the event is in the past, present or future

Using No Links - Just Informational

When you want to have an informational reminder like "Be sure to take a rest day today, you worked hard all week", then you would want to:

  • Set the Button Mode to None

Using One Link All The Time

When you want to associate the event with one link, for example "a lesson in a course" or some sort of PDF worksheet download, then you would:

  1. Set the Button Mode to Default

  2. Set the Button Text (Default) and Button Page (Default) settings

Using "Timed" Links

Sometimes you may want your students to do something different befure, during and after the event. For example:

Before the event => Watch the "get ready video" or "Fill out the worksheet before.."

During the event => "Watch the event on Zoom" or "Watch on FB livestream"

After the event => "Watch the replay"

For this scenario, we need three links. And instead of having to force you to change these links at the exact times, we provided a way for all links to be configured ahead of time

1) Set the Button Mode to "Timed"

This will change the links automatically based on the actual time and the configured time of the event.

๐Ÿšจ WARNING: Once you set the Button Mode to Timed, then you must provide links for all three states below, otherwise the event will not be linked properly.

2) Set the Button Text (Before) and Button Page (Before)

3) Set the Button Text (During) and Button Page (During)

You can also modify how much sooner you would like the student to use the "During" link by adjusting the "Allow During Link (minutes) before actual time

4) Set the Button Text (After) and Button Page (After)
