Since we have been creating PowerUps since the launch of the Thinkific App Store in 2021, there are a lot of ways we have provided to enhance your site and course experience.
Explore each of the sections below to help guide you to the right PowerUp.
We organized it into three main types
Marketing Pages
Member Pages
Course Player Pages
You can think of these as areas to focus on. The Marketing Pages section will really help you create pages that you would use for visitors who may no have signed up yet or for current members exploring additional products. The Member Pages section talks about PowerUps that will help you created a good member experience for those who already signed up. And the last section, Course Player Pages, will help you decide which PowerUps to use to help you with your course watching experience.
For Marketing Pages
Use these superpowers when you are trying to build an audience and sell your products. These superpowers are using on your "Site Pages". When we say "Site Pages", we mean "everything but the course player". Typically these will be used for pages that will be seen before someone joins. But they can also be used for pages that members will see.
Site Page Templates
Site Page Templates ("SPT"), are grouped into "SPT Collections" that add new sections you can use on your site pages. Not only do they give you new design options, but they also give you new features that have been purposely built with marketing goals in mind to help you build and grow your audience and increase your sales.
When to use:
These sections can really be used on any of your site pages
Home page - for communicating what the site is about and directing to your products
Product pages - A library of options to better communicate what your products include, demonstrate social proof, give in page product tours and more
Thank you or after purchase pages - Provide a nice welcoming onboard page with next steps, or promote an upsell to another product
Content Marketing Pages - create special custom pages to display any type of content you may use in content marketing
Instructor Pages - create compelling pages that showcase your instructors
Login Page (coming soon) - replace the standard login page with a variety of design options
Navigation & Footers (coming soon) - replace the standard global header and footer with a more robust design options. Note: this will be a PowerUp Infinity Pass member exclusive
Resource Library
The Resource Library is a great way to showcase all of your products and lead magnets in one place that allows your audience to quickly search, filter and find what they are looking for.
Content can be displayed without leaving the page using the Resource Library content popups. You can also "tease" resources by associating specific access rules. Visitors will be prompted with customizable upgrade popups when they do not have access. Those that have access can consume it right away.
Note: The Resource Library can also "just" be used as a member dashboard replacement option, but we have it listed here because this superpower is way more powerful than that.
When to use:
You want to build your audience and provide a "zero opt-in" strategy for frictionless content marketing.
You have numerous lead magnets and want an easy way for your audience to find exactly what they need while providing a way to "tease" upgrades to paid products
You want to have worksheets, videos, audio, PDF's to be presented in a much nicer way and have them consumed outside of the "course player" (and maybe along side your "courses" as well)
You think paging through courses 6 at a time is a frustrating experience
You want your audience or members to easily filter your courses by organizing them into category groups so that it feel like you have something "exactly for them" (this can replace the "All Courses" and "Student Dashboard" page experiences
You want to create your own paid "product types" and subscription models like eBooks, video libraries, YouTube+ and whatever else you want because not "everything is a course or community"
You want an easy way to import hundreds of resources/products and add them to your library who your audience can see them all without having to leave the page (because you know that every page click may be the last click before page abandonment)
Sections Kit
This set of superpowers is much like Site Page Templates and contains over 80+ general use page sections. With one installation, you will be able to add these sections into your site.
When to use:
Home page
Content marketing pages
Product pages for content sections
Although this set of superpowers is highly effective and used by hundreds of Thinkific Site Owners, we are suggesting that you look to use Site Page Templates first before using Sections Kit.
Site Page Templates is our "way forward" that will provide more options, better seamless experiences and consistent features across all SPT Collections.
Unlike Sections Kits, SPT does require you to perform multiple installations of each SPT Collection. This will allow you to add only the sets of collections that you would like to use instead of flooding your site with everything.
SNAP Course Page Templates
Use this superpower on your course sales page (not the course "player"). In this alternative approach to course page building, you simply provide the "information" in one section (in the form of text) and then you "snap" in a design section that has been pre-built for you. SNAP Course Page Templates add a set of 5 different styles giving you a variety of options you can quickly change to.
When to use:
You want a minimalistic but informative "straight to the point" approach for your course page
You like a "Udemy" style course page : info on the left, sidebar with call to action on the right
You have a lot of courses and do not want to "build" a page for each one of them
Captain
This set of superpowers contains prebuilt full page templates that can replace your all courses page, student dashboard and bundle pages. But also gives you a set of sections that you can use to create your own. Many of these options you will find being used on our Superpowerups.com site.
When to use:
You like what you saw on superpowerups.com and want to use the same sections
You want a track based design for the all courses or student dashboard pages
You want an alternative approach to showing your "bundle pages"
There are many great options found in this template that still work and look amazing. However, Site Page Templates and SPT Collections are our "way forward" that will provide more options, better seamless experiences and consistent features across all SPT Collections.
We will be migrating the options found in Captain to new SPT Collections
Funnel Kit
This superpower was created specifically to help you build an audience with predesigned lead-capture funnel. It gives you both a short and long form lead capture page along with a Thank You page built to upsell to a paid product
When to use:
You want a simple to use lead capture funnel that is completely customizable
You are running ads or want to send your audience to a page that "hides the navigation" to act like a landing page
Marketing Widgets
The following group of superpowers are widgets that you add to your site pages to help you with specific marketing and design options

This is a "Site Page" superpower. It does not work "inside the course", we do have similar confetti cannons and more inside of "Player Snips". With Player Snips you can create blast your confetti and emoji's when students start or complete a lesson. With this Confetti Cannon, the confetti will blast when the page loads. Ex: Someone purchases, confetti is shown on the thank you page (or after purchase page)
For Member Pages
Use these superpowers for pages that your "members" will see. We don't like to call people that sign up "students" and call these types of people "members".

Expiring Courses Saver

When to use:
Your courses have an actual expiration date and want your students to become aware of that before they expire

Note: Due to how Thinkific implements their subscription based products, courses will "appear" as expiring because Thinkific treats the "renewal date" in the same way. So if you have "real expiring courses" and a "subscription" using the same courses, you may need to word your "Expiring Courses Saver" popup very carefully.
For Course Player Pages
Use these superpowers for "inside the course". This is what we call the "Course player". When someone is watching your course content they are going through the course player experience.
These superpowers are designed to :

When to use:
Your text lessons need some more style and interactivity without having to learn complex 3rd party tools
You need to have nicely designed sections that you want to easily replicate across other courses
