There are some PowerUps like Resource Library and Cohort that give some options to display content outside of the course player. For example:
Connecting a resource card in Resource Library to a PDF so that the PDF is downloaded for them
Same thing for Cohort, maybe you want a Cohort event to be "fill in the worksheet"
For this it may be a better experience to access the PDF right then and there.
Getting the url of the download:
Upload your files to a download lesson type inside of a course
Preview the course as a student and navigate to the download lesson
Right click on the download and copy the link to the clipboard
Paste it where you want to use it. If you are using Site Builder then you will need to select Custom Page first
